Context
In Comerío, Puerto Rico, the poverty situation is notably high, affecting more than half of its population. According to recent U.S. Census data, approximately 53.3% of Comerío's residents live in poverty, with an average household income of only $16,153 per year. This income level is well below the island average and highlights the economic limitations faced by many families in the region. The labor force participation rate is also low, further limiting economic opportunities for the community.
How can you support us?
With your help in this Giving Tuesday campaign, we will be offering our participants the opportunity to live experiences that will enrich their social and cultural development. Your donation will allow children and young people in our community, who often have not had the opportunity to explore beyond their own surroundings, to discover new places, visit museums, attend cultural activities and participate in field trips. These experiences not only expand their perspective of the world, but also provide them with moments of learning, joy and personal growth. Thanks to your support, each experience becomes an open door to a future full of possibilities.
